Finlandia Hall’s sustainability is built on concrete actions and continuous development.

  • Our solar panels generate environmentally friendly electricity.
  • We take part in the Töölönlahti Clean-Up Day and care for our local environment.
  • We restore original Alvar Aalto furniture for new use, allowing history to live on while conserving resources.
  • Broken tableware is given a new life – we turn it into new products instead of discarding it.
  • Surplus food from our staff restaurant is sold at a reduced price to minimise food waste and make sustainability part of everyday choices.
  • We support young people’s equal access to arts and cultural experiences by offering 400 complimentary tickets each year, with a special focus on 7th grade school groups.

The cornerstones of our sustainability work are reflected in everything we do: we are ISO-certified, committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2035, and require responsibility throughout our entire service and supply chain.
