The Strauss Concerts of Epiphany will open the renovated Finlandia Hall with 25th anniversary concerts on 4.1. and 6.1.2025.

The joyful and elegant tunes of Waltz King Strauss will captivate with top soloists on Saturday 4.1. at 19.00 and on Epiphany 6.1.2025 at 14.00.

This 25th anniversary concert also coincides with Johann Strauss’s 200th anniversary!

The concert will feature wonderful Strauss tunes performed by the Lohja Philharmonic Orchestra, supplemented by students from the Sibelius Academy, conducted by conductor and maestro Atso Almila.

Concert soloists:

Goitsemang Lehobye, soprano

Based in the United States, Goitsemang Lehobye has performed in major operatic roles around the world. He has gained popularity on the big stages in the United States, South America, Europe and South Africa. Special praise went to his performances at New York’s Carnegie Hall in the fall of 2024.

Aubrey Lodewyk, baritone

In 2011, South African Aubrey Lodewyk appeared as Mandela in the Mandela Trilogy, which aired across South Africa and Great Britain, where she made her European debut. Her performance was nominated for the Naledi Theatre Award for Best Performance in a Musical in 2011. She was also nominated for the prestigious Fleur de Cap Award for her performance in an operatic role in 2019.

Tuomas Miettola, tenor

One of Finland’s most sought-after young opera singers at the moment, Tuomas Miettola from Iisalmi has been selected as the first recipient of the prestigious Jorma Hynninen Prize this autumn. During 2024, she has performed in many major opera roles, including world premieres, and she has continuously given concerts all over Finland.

We take care of your belongings so that you can focus on enjoying the experience. During concerts and events, you can leave your coat in the cloakroom for a fee. When visiting the Finlandia exhibition, you can store your bag in a lockable locker. Locker storage is free of charge. Coat check service €4, available at concerts, but not every day.
