Acclaimed Adele tribute show to ten Finnish cities
The internationally acclaimed Someone Like You – The Adele Songbook live concert will be held in October in Oulu, Tampere, Joensuu, Kuopio, Helsinki, Hyvinkää, Turku, Pori, Mikkeli and Lappeenranta. The concert’s talented soloist will be Adele’s acclaimed British Katie Markham, and the music will be provided by a four-piece live band.
Performed to sold-out halls last year, Someone Like You – The Adele Songbook delivers a stunning live performance celebrating the music of one of the finest singer-songwriters of our time.
British X-Factor finalist Katie Markham and a talented and well-knit live band shine on stage at the concerts. The show features music from Adele’s four record-breaking albums. There are also fresh songs from the new 30 albums such as Easy On Me, I Drink Wine and Oh My God.
Katie Markham’s journey as a soloist on the successful ‘Someone Like You – The Adele Songbook’ tour began in 2015 when Adele herself chose Katie to appear on the BBC Adele Special hosted by Graham Norton. Katie could never have imagined that she would first end up singing with her idol on the same stage in London and within a year be embarking on a successful international tour.
Since our first performance, everything has been a whirlwind. Now, after several years, we’re selling out more and more shows, and I wouldn’t trade this for anything It’s a privilege to be able to perform Adele’s songs weekly. I especially love his latest production. The personal nature of the latest album – rebuilding yourself after a difficult breakup and searching for love – is incredibly honest and touching, Katie says.
