FESSH 2025

We warmly welcome you to the 30th FESSH Congress in Helsinki, Finland,
from June 25th to June 28th, 2025!
For the first time, FESSH is being held in Finland, and the entire Finnish hand surgery community is buzzing with excitement. Organizing this congress provides an excellent opportunity to connect with international colleagues, foster long-lasting friendships, and build enduring professional and research networks, especially for our younger colleagues.
The city of Helsinki combines modern and safe city life with closeness to nature. Architecture, design, museums, restaurants, and nightlife go hand in hand with the proximity of the sea, archipelago, and forest. You can experience the unique atmosphere of a summer night when the sun doesn’t set at night either.
The theme of the congress is “Innovations,” encompassing surgical and, notably, technological innovations. Fields such as artificial intelligence, 3D-based innovations, new imaging solutions, virtual and augmented reality, educational innovations, robotics, biomaterials, and advanced prosthetics are developing rapidly, also revolutionizing clinical work. Our fantastic program explores these and includes a comprehensive range of traditional academic hand surgery topics.
Dr. Francisco del Pinal from Spain serves as the scientific chairman of the congress. The high-quality scientific program is curated by a committee comprising renowned international hand surgery experts. There is a pre-congress cadaver course, a funded fellowship program, instructional courses, several special sessions and workshops, and an interesting post-congress course. With the Journal of Hand Surgery, there will be a Special Issue focusing on innovations.
Now is the perfect time to update your knowledge and envision the future of Hand Surgery. Take advantage of this opportunity!
Our congress venue is the masterpiece of architect Alvar Aalto, Finlandia Hall, situated by the sea in the city’s heart. The congress center, hotels, and services are conveniently within walking distance. Enjoy the memorable social program, the FESSH party, and the Finnish Sauna thrill!
Join us in Helsinki to experience the incredible journey of FESSH’s 30th anniversary year!
