BRIGHT & BLACK – LIVE 2025
BRIGHT & BLACK FORMED BY EICCA TOPPINEN, KRISTJAN JÄRVI AND NORDIC PULSE ORCHESTRA TO HELSINKI IN MAY
Bright & Black’s Live 2025 concert tour, which breaks down barriers between metal and classical music, will reach Finland next spring. The unique ensemble consisting of Eicca Toppinen, conductor Kristjan Järvi and Nordic Pulse Orchestra will perform at Finlandia Hall in Helsinki on Saturday 17 May. The band’s debut release, The Album, released earlier this year, and numerous concerts across Europe have received rave reviews. Ticket sales for the concert by Bright & Black, which weaves metal and classical music like never before, will start at Lippu.fi on Wednesday 23 October at 5 pm.
Operating at the heart of the music, Bright & Black is co-created by musicians Eicca Toppinen (Apocalyptica), Fredrik Åkesson (Opeth), Erik Danielsson (Watain), Nico Elgstrand (Entombed AD), Tomas Haake and Dick Lövgren (Meshuggah), producer/artistic director Jacob Hellner and Tallinn-born conductor Kristjan Järvi. Bright & Black’s exceptionally multidimensional musical adventure has touched listeners and artists in a soul-biting way. “With Bright & Black, we were able to create something completely new and exciting. It was such a unique experience and I can’t wait to bring it live again and share it with new people!”, says Eicca Toppinen, who will be the soloist of the ensemble.
In addition to composer-producer Eicca Toppinen, founder of the Finnish metal band Apocalyptica, Bright & Black is influenced by Kristjan Järvi, who is known as the founding member and artistic director of Nordic Pulse Orchestra in addition to his innovative conducting work. Nordic Pulse Orchestra, which has collaborated with Brian Eno and Max Richter, among others, combines classical traditions with technological possibilities and contemporary influences, bringing a fresh and exciting perspective on the traditions of its genre. Jacob Hellner, founder and artistic director of Bright & Black, is a distinguished producer of names such as Rammstein, Clawfinger, Apocalyptica and Emtombed AD, as well as a composer of numerous TV, film and stage productions. The project’s co-founder and artistic director is Per Kviman, who has a successful A&R career and runs Stockholm-based artist management company Versity Music. Kviman is also the Chairman of the Board of the European Music Managers Alliance (EMMA), the world’s largest artist manager organization.
